Can I install this myself?

Yes — most blinds take around 20–30 minutes each to install with basic tools (drill, tape measure, spirit level). Lift the blind to where you want it and it holds in place. Do you offer install help or referrals?

Yes. If you'd prefer not to install yourself, we can refer you to Kitset Assembly Services — a network of professional installers who handle flat-pack and custom home product installations across NZ.

Question 4

What's the difference between manual and motorised?

Accepted Answer

Manual blinds are spring-loaded — simply lift the blind to where you want it and it holds in place, or pull it down and it stays there. No power needed, completely reliable. Motorised blinds have an electric motor that plugs into a standard wall outlet, and you raise or lower them with a remote.

How long does production and delivery take?

Standard orders take 8–12 weeks from order confirmation to delivery, including manufacturing and NZ-wide courier delivery.

Why does a custom frame colour take longer?

Accepted Answer

Custom frame colours require specialist powder coating to your chosen colour — this process is done in batches and adds approximately 2 weeks to production time. Standard colours (White, Charcoal Grey, Black) are held in stock.

How long is the warranty?

Every Blind Hub order includes a standard 3-year warranty. If a covered component has a manufacturing fault, we will work with you to assess and resolve it. Refer to our warranty policy for further information

What is the minimum/maximum size I can order?

Accepted Answer

We manufacture custom blinds from 500mm wide × 500mm drop up to 6000mm wide × 4500mm drop. For openings outside this range, contact us to discuss options.
